Summary

Tenerife born Character Artist with an emphasis on 3D Character Illustration. My interest sparked at 12, when Jurassic Park (and other Steve Williams witchcrafts) and Toy Story made an impact on me although my influence is the golden age of manga and anime, as I started learning Japanese at age 10 which led me to spend 4 years in Japan later on. Cyberpunk artists like Katsuhiro Otomo, Koji Morimoto and Satoshi Kon or Capcom illustrations of the 90's, with Henry Selick and Jim Henson as western references.

I also delved into Computer Vision, learning the in-and-outs of image synthesis and video restoration, having developed the most popular denoising tool, Avisynth's SMDegrain (also in VapourSynth), and more recently as of 2023, ExTools (core functions) and a library of ~200 filters to form a framework within AviSynth+.
Meanwhile I learned Autohotkey Power Tools scripting language to enhance my Windows working user experience (UWX). Check my PBR Batch Renamer tool as an example. Also visit my code projects in Github: https://github.com/Dogway

Through the years I have kept an interest in the correct handling of digital colors (aspects like color management, color spaces, profiles, calibration...), which led me to the creation of the Substance PBR+ACES tools and accompanying LUTs/Filmic Tonemappers (shown at the GDC 2019 Substance Day). And later filters: Full Color Management for CG, PBR MetalFit, PBR SmartBrightness, etc
